Bills 2021 salary cap analyzed looks decent

Buffalo Bills’ 2021 salary cap according to Over The Cap.

Recently the Buffalo Bills have had a strong chunk of salary cap space for general manager Brandon Beane to use. After their recent spending spree and re-signing some of their own, it’s not quite as good looking ahead to 2021.

Still, Over The Cap analyzed salary cap situations heading into next offseaon and the Bills were labeled as a “Tier 2” team in terms of salary cap space.

According to OTC’s data, teams in this area are team “likely have the most potential to get into the top tier in the run up to free agency unless they front load the salary cap hits in an extension” and adds “this group has moderate cap room but won’t have many players to sign.”

In total, OTC reports the Bills will have $52,751,556 in estimated cap space in 2021. Their average ranking with all things considered, such as potential cuts and restructures, the Bills sit at a rank of 14.5, right in the middle of the NFL.

In regard to potential added weights on Buffalo’s roster, there’s Dion Dawkins and Matt Milano to consider. Those two are both entering the final years of their contracts. The Bills will look to lock those up longterm sooner rather than later, so to get the clear picture on Buffalo’s 2021 salary cap, we’ll have to wait for those contract to factor in here.

But still not the worst tier to be in. Along with the Bills, the Titans, Seahawks, Ravens, Cardinals, , Buccaneers, Jets and Broncos are in Tier 2. In Tier 1 are the Browns, Patriots, Bengals, Colts, Redskins, Dolphins, Jaguars and Chargers.
