Bill Belichick snubbing Brenden Schooler’s game ball gift is priceless

Bill Belichick hilariously denies a game ball from Brenden Schooler on the sidelines.

New England Patriots rookie special teams gunner Brenden Schooler made a big play on special teams to thwart the Cleveland Browns’ comeback in the fourth quarter. He wanted to celebrate the play by giving coach Bill Belichick a game ball, but Belichick was not having it.

Schooler was there to catch a fumbled Browns punt return late in the fourth quarter. The fumble allowed for the Patriots to be in scoring position once again, and it was a key play from the undrafted rookie out of Texas. It allowed for New England to seal the deal and pick up a second consecutive win and the team’s third overall on the season.

However, Belichick was not about to celebrate the momentous turnover. The coach and player had a hilarious interaction on the sideline after the play.

Next up, the Patriots will take on the Chicago Bears in a Monday night showdown, as they look to continue their climb in the AFC East.
