Here we go again. According to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Big Ten Conference is currently exploring options to launch the college football season in late November after Thanksgiving as opposed to the January start date that has been rumored.
This would mirror the rumored basketball plan to get the seasons started immediately following Thanksgiving and take advantage of the emptied college campuses. Most schools are going to be ending the first semester at that time which will mean most campuses will be vacant until the spring semester starts in January.
@CBSSports can confirm @BigTen is considering a schedule that would start the season Thanksgiving week. Could be pushed back to original January start date. Story broken by @jaypo1961.

This would benefit players in a few ways. First, it would limit the amount of exposure players would bring with them into games by having the cleared out campuses. Secondly, it would give more time between this season and the NFL Draft, along with the 2021 fall college football season.
