The Big Ten football universe is different this year. There are 18 teams. Indiana is unbeaten in mid-November. USC is part of the family and living near the basement. In the midst of this, the Big Ten has four of the top five teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll, presented by USA TODAY Sports, heading into Week 13.
Ohio State plays Indiana this coming Saturday, Nov. 23. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers are battling Penn State to see which team will face Oregon in the Big Ten Championship Game. All four Big Ten teams are jostling for position in the College Football Playoff. Indiana, given its soft nonconference schedule, is viewed as the most vulnerable of the four teams if it loses to Ohio State. The Hoosiers could be in serious trouble if they get blown out by the Buckeyes, but a close loss could help their cause. Indiana-Ohio State is clearly the biggest game on the whole college football schedule in Week 13. Indiana is 10-0 for the first time in school history under first-year head coach Curt Cignetti, who has done the unthinkable in Bloomington.
