Indianapolis, Indiana just might be the center of the basketball universe in March.
We’ve already received the news that the NCAA Tournament (in whatever form it takes) will be played in venues in and around the Indianapolis area, and now it appears as though the Big Ten is seriously considering moving the men’s conference basketball tournament from Chicago to Indianapolis as well, just a short week before all the national madness begins.
This comes by way of NCAA basketball insider Jon Rothstein who is usually pretty close to these things. The thought is that the state of Indiana’s coronavirus measures are a bit more conducive to allowing some level of fan viewership onsite than what Illinois has, and will most likely have come March.
Honestly, as an Ohio State fan, this move would probably be welcomed by head coach Chris Holtmann, players, and fans alike. The travel is closer and could involve a bus trip instead of a flight. And, for those fans that can afford the money and time, Indy is but a three-hour drive away.

It must be noted that no official announcement or decision has been made yet, but we’ll keep an eye on things as the situation dictates.
