It was another strange week for the Big 12 conference. On the one hand, some teams blew out their opponents like Oklahoma, Baylor, and West Virginia. On the other hand, teams like Kansas State and Texas Tech struggled with FCS opponents. And then there’s Oklahoma State, who continues to win but does so by the skin of their teeth.
The Big 12 went 7-3 as a conference, with two of those losses coming against ranked opponents and the third against an unranked Power Five member. Against the Power Five, the conference went 1-2, with TCU picking up the win over the Pac-12’s California.
So, where does that leave us in this week’s Big 12 power rankings? Still with a bit of a mess. But with bigger matchups and conference play on the horizon, much of this will start to work itself out.
