The Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks meet for Game 5 of the 2023 World Series on Wednesday at Chase Field. After taking a look at BetMGM Sportsbook’s MLB odds, here are the 5 best World Series Game 5 prop bets to cash in on among SportbookWire’s MLB picks and predictions.

The Rangers outslugged the Diamondbacks by an 11-7 count in Game 4 on Tuesday night, and Texas is now on the precipice of its 1st-ever championship. The Rangers have posted a ridiculous 10-0 record in these playoffs on the road.

In an even stranger twist, Arizona has actually outscored Texas 22-21 in the 1st 4 games of this series, thanks to a 9-1 blowout win in Game 2 in Arlington. The Over has cashed in 3 of the 1st 4 games of the series.

The Rangers collected 11 hits in Game 4, including 3 doubles, 1 triple and 3 home runs, including 2 extra-base hits apiece from 2B Marcus Semien and SS Corey Seager.

Speaking of Seager, he actually has just 4 hits across 17 at-bats in this series, which is a .235 average. But he has had a flare for the dramatic, posting a 2B, 3 HR and 6 RBIs, including a 9th-inning HR in Game 1 to turn the tide and a rocket in the 2nd inning of Game 4 to set off a big inning.

Rangers RHP Nathan Eovaldi OVER 4.5 strikeouts (+105)

It’s hard to believe you can get this at plus-money, but ’tis true.

Eovaldi heads into this potential championship clincher with 30 2/3 IP under his belt across 5 starts in the postseason. He has recorded 7 or more K’s in 4 of those outings, including the epic Game 1 in Arlington. The veteran didn’t bring his best stuff to the mound that evening, allowing 5 ER, 6 H and 1 BB across 4 2/3 IP, but he still racked up 8 K’s.

He was good for 132 K’s in 144 IP in the regular season, and he had 3 or fewer K’s in 6 of his final 8 starts from July 6 to Sept. 29. Not really known as a strikeout pitcher, he has been amped up for his return to the postseason. It doesn’t seem like he’ll have much trouble getting to 5 K’s against the free-swinging Snakes.

Diamondbacks SS Geraldo Perdomo OVER 0.5 hits (+130)

Perdomo went 1-for-3 with a single, a walk and a run scored in Game 4, and he has collected exactly 1 single in each of his 4 games in the World Series so far. At plus-money, Perdomo is worth a roll of the dice to collect at least 1 knock in Game 5, most likely batting out of the 9-hole.

Rangers C/DH Mitch Garver OVER 0.5 strikeouts (-250)

We went with a plus-money prop on the 1st 2 choices, so we’ll eat some chalk on this one. Garver whiffed 3 times in Game 4, and he has struck out 5 times in 15 at-bats in this World Series. Garver was hit in the ribs by a pitch in Game 7 against the Houston Astros, and he just hasn’t been himself in this World Series.

He slashed .270/.370/.500 with 19 HR in 87 games in the regular season, while slashing .295/.368/.529 heading into this series. The injury has really taken the wind out of his sails, and he is a good bet to whiff at least once in Game 5.

Rangers OF Leody Taveras OVER 0.5 walks (+175)

This is a tasty play worthy of your consideration. Taveras was issued a free pass in Game 4, and he had 2 BB back in Game 1. In the postseason, he has walked 10 total times in 16 games. At plus-money, Taveras is a strong option in Game 5.

Rangers SS Corey Seager OVER 2.5 H+R+RBI (+110)

You really didn’t think we weren’t going to make a Seager pick after that big intro above, did you?

Seager is a good play at plus-money to total a combined 3 or more hits, runs and/or RBIs in Game 5. He cashed the Over with each of his homers in the series, and the only time he went Under in this series was when he took the collar with a strikeout in 4 AB in the Game 2 loss.

If you’re not familiar how this bet works, you would win with 3 singles, a single, a run scored and an RBI, etc. You need any combination of hits, runs scored or RBI to total 3 or more for a winning ticket.
