Linebacker [autotag]Ventrell Miller[/autotag]’s sixth and final year in Gainesville saw the punishing defender rise to the top of the defensive corps as a leader both on and off the field. While the unit as a whole left a lot to be desired in 2022, the redshirt senior left it all out on the field ahead of entering the 2023 NFL draft.
The 6-foot, 221-pound defender from Lakeland, Florida, played in 11 of Florida’s 12 regular-season games, missing one due to injury and coming off the bench in the second half of the FSU game due to a penalty incurred the game prior. Miller made 34 solo and 40 assisted tackles including 8.5 for a loss, two passes defended, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 2022.
