Best OL available for the Dolphins entering Day 2 of 2020 draft

The Miami Dolphins’ have successfully wrapped up the first day of their marathon of the 2020 NFL Draft. Miami secured three new talents for their 2020 roster and team rebuild last night, providing plenty of excitement with their commitment to standing firm on the No. 5 overall pick to target their quarterback of the future in Tua Tagovailoa.

With the draft’s second day comes another set of challenges and a chance to reset the deck. Miami has invested heavily into rebuilding their offensive line between the selection of Austin Jackson last night and the spending on free agent additions such as Ereck Flowers and Ted Karras up front. But this team isn’t done yet — so who should we be keeping an eye on as the NFL Draft’s second day opens for business this evening?

Here are the best available offensive linemen available entering tonight’s festivities.

OT Josh Jones, Houston

OT Ezra Cleveland, Boise State

OT Lucas Niang, TCU

OT Matt Peart, Connecticut

IOL Lloyd Cushenberry, LSU

IOL Matt Hennessy, Temple

IOL Jonah Jackson, Ohio State

IOL Robert Hunt, Louisiana

The linemen that Miami has been most closely tied to throughout the pre-draft process are Robert Hunt and Josh Jones. Jones would give Miami a massive tackle duo with plenty of athleticism, but Hunt would continue the Dolphins’ trend of targeting maulers on the offensive line and as an added bonus he’s primarily a right side of the offensive line player.

The Dolphins should get another swing of the bat at offensive line early today, whether that comes at pick No. 39 or pick No. 56. Tonight’s second round of selections kicks off at 7 PM EST.
