Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams on Thursday were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month for games played in October and November, the league announced.
Mathurin, the sixth pick, became the first Pacers rookie to win the award since Myles Turner in 2014. He is averaging 19.2 points, four rebounds and 1.5 assists on 40.3% shooting from 3-point range. He leads the rookie class in scoring, 3-pointers and free throws.
Williams is the third rookie in team history to win after averaging 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 18 games. The 12th pick ranks fourth in assists among all first-year players and is fifth in scoring in 25.1 minutes per game.

In addition to Mathurin and Williams, Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero, Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey, Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. and Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray were also nominated for the award.
