The Cincinnati Bengals won’t have some key names for their post-bye showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cincinnati issued its final injury report Friday, headlined by some major names:

  • Geno Atkins (OUT)
  • Joe Mixon (Doubtful)
  • Bobby Hart (OUT)
  • Darius Phillips (OUT)
  • John Ross (OUT)
  • LeShaun Sims (OUT)
  • Jonah Williams (Questionable)

Mixon again missing time — confirmed by Zac Taylor — means the backfield belongs to Giovani Bernard and the star running back will now miss the biggest stretch of his career.

Atkins is out, though the team hasn’t gone into a ton of detail. He’s hardly played this season when active anyway while working back from a shoulder injury he suffered near the end of training camp.

Hart remained on the injury report all week, which is a bigger deal than it seems because Fred Johnson — the guy who started in his place in Week 8 — spent the week on the COVID-19 reserve list.

In short, the bye didn’t do much to help the Bengals get healthy. We’ll update below with Pittsburgh’s final injury report when it goes live:
