Back in May when the Cincinnati Bengals announced their official preseason schedule for this summer, the team’s Week 3 exhibition against the Washington Commanders was a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Wednesday, the team announced the NFL changed the time of said kickoff to 6:05 p.m. ET, still on August 26.

Normally the change of a preseason kickoff isn’t major news. This isn’t major, either, but it is notable — that third and final preseason game is when teams tend to trot out their starters for meaningful snaps in the first half.

That might include the Bengals this year too. After not doing so over the last few years, one might think Zac Taylor and Co. change that up after the slow starts to the regular season over the last few years.

As such, keep in mind the schedule change.
