Bengals stars and critical rookies feature on team’s first injury report

The first Bengals injury report of the season features some huge names.

The Cincinnati Bengals had four big names on the injury report ahead of the Week 1 season opener against the New England Patriots.

Biggest of all, of course, was receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who popped up as limited due to “rest.” But he was out there when practice was open to reporters and the social feed showed him putting in work with Joe Burrow.

After, Burrow made it clear that Chase is ready for the season and they got some necessary work in during the session.

As for Burrow, he was also technically on the report as “full” due to the wrist, which might just be the team taking extra precautions after the whole fiasco last year with injury reporting investigations.

Two rookies spotlighted on the list too, with second-rounder Kris Jenkins Jr. limited due to a thumb injury and first-rounder Amarius Mims limited because of the pec injury.

Jenkins will be worth watching in the coming days because he’s important for the rotation, while Mims even being limited could be viewed as a positive thing — though head coach Zac Taylor has already said that veteran Trent Brown will start at right tackle on Sunday.
