Cincinnati Bengals rookie linebacker Darius Hodge was arrested on July 4 in Wake Forest, North Carolina, on charges stemming from the assault of a man in 2019.

The news comes from WRAL.com, which says the arrest pertains to an incident in which Hodge allegedly hit a man multiple times.

Hodge was one of six undrafted free agents the Bengals signed after the draft. He played three years at Marshall, totaling 15.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss.

Since this arrest is connected to an event that happened in 2019, Hodge won’t be subject to discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. But if he runs into further trouble, it will fall under the microscope.
