A few days back we shared a funny post about Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson hitting field goal kicks from pretty far away.

That was just meant to be a funny anecdote about how the team might have an emergency kicker should the need for one arise during a live-game setting.

But it turns out Wilson’s skill in this area is already paying off for his teammates.

On Thursday — a day marred by offensive line setbacks, for what it’s worth — Wilson hit a field goal from 30-plus yards out which means Friday’s practice has a modified schedule.

Jay Morrison of The Athletic recorded the moment:

Said moment means the Bengals won’t have any meetings tomorrow after a 2:15 p.m. ET practice as they get ready to travel for Sunday’s preseason game against the Giants.
