The Cincinnati Bengals have been doing their homework on plenty of defensive line prospects as they look to sure up their interior front. And the latest on that list is an exciting Sooner.

Oklahoma DL Perrion Winfrey visited with the Bengals on Tuesday, per Josh Norris of Underdog Fantasy.

Winfrey is an outlier, plain and simple. 6’3.5″, 290 pounds with a huge build and athleticism, including a 4.89 40-yard dash with a 1.71 10-yard split. He played two years at Oklahoma after two years at Iowa Western Community College. He was a two-time Second Team All-Big 12 with the Sooners, totaling 42 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, six sacks and three passes defended. He had 9.5 sacks in his two years in Iowa.

Winfrey really made a name for himself at the Senior Bowl, where he just took over and was dominating all over the place, both in practice and at the game, where he recorded five tackles, three TFLs and two sacks and was named Senior Bowl MVP.

Winfrey will instantly upgrade any defensive front. If the Bengals do make the call on him, they would three powerful bodies up front with Winfrey behind DJ Reader and BJ Hill. That could set them up very well to defend the run as well as create interior pressure.
