Bellator signs heavyweight Marcelo Golm to multifight deal

The Bellator heavyweight roster is one fighter deeper.

Already having fought in the UFC, heavyweight [autotag]Marcelo Golm[/autotag] can now add Bellator to his resume, too.

Bellator officials told MMA Junkie on Thursday that Golm (8-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) has signed a multifight deal with the promotion. He doesn’t currently have a debut opponent or date.

Golm, 28, competed four times in the UFC from 2018-2019. He went 1-3 in that stretch, with the lone win coming in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 119 against Christian Colombo. Three straight defeats to Timothy Johnson, Arjan Bhullar and Sergey Pavlovich led to his UFC exit.

Since his UFC departure, Golm has won back-to-back fights inside the distance. First, he beat D.J. Linderman by first-round TKO, then he submitted Brandon Hebert by second-round arm-triangle choke.

Golm was scheduled to fight at CES MMA 62 in Orlando, Fla. at the time of his signing.
