We here at For The Win love chaos when it comes to which teams could or should be in the four-team College Football Playoff. And after first few weeks of the 2021 season, it looks like there’s potential for ample debates when it comes to the playoff picture, as the traditional playoff contenders have been tested — and some have lost — early.
But the College Football Playoff rankings won’t be out for several more weeks, so we’re looking at ESPN’s football power index, which includes teams’ playoff chances. As of Wednesday afternoon, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Oregon are the four teams with the best chances to make the playoff, per ESPN’s FPI.
