Bears place OT Larry Borom on reserve/COVID-19 list

Larry Borom has landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which leaves the Bears without their two starting tackles heading into Week 15.

The Chicago Bears have lost another starting offensive tackle following Jason Peters’ ankle injury in Sunday night’s loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears have placed rookie right tackle Larry Borom on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday.

Borom is the fifth Bears player currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list, joining nose tackle Eddie Goldman, defensive end Mario Edwards, cornerback Artie Burns and offensive tackle Lachavious Simmons.

According to Jason Lieser of the Sun-Times, Borom is vaccinated, which means he has until Monday to test negative twice in order to suit up for Monday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings, also under enhanced protocols, have three players currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list, including running back Alexander Mattison, receiver Dede Westbrook and receiver Dan Chisena.
