#Bears roster moves:
We have signed OL Corey Levin and TE Eric Saubert to the active roster and have placed DB Sherrick McManis and TE Adam Shaheen on Injured Reserve (IR).— Chicago Bears (@BearsPR) November 30, 2019
McManis suffered a groin injury against the New York Giants, which caused him to miss Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions. Shaheen has missed the last two games with a foot injury, after being a healthy scratch against the Lions in Week 10.
Chicago is thin at the tight end position with Trey Burton and now Shaheen on injured reserve. They currently have Jesper Horsted, JP Holtz and Bradley Sowell, and now Saubert at tight end.
The Bears signed Saubert, a fifth-round draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, off Oakland’s practice squad. Saubert appeared in all 14 games, as a reserve, for the Falcons as a rookie and played in 16 games, with one start, and caught five passes for 48 yards, in 2018.
Chicago signed guard/center Levin off the Broncos’ practice squad. Levin was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 draft out of Chattanooga, where he appeared in 16 games for the Tennessee Titans as a rookie. After being waived by Tennessee, he was claimed by the Broncos.
