Bears injury report: Robert Quinn, Sherrick McManis did not practice in team drills

OLB Robert Quinn and S Sherrick McManis did not practice during the team drills in Chicago’s first padded practice of training camp.

With the first padded practice in the books, there weren’t any major injury concerns for the Chicago Bears. Which is encouraging given some news around the NFL involving some significant injuries. But there were some small hiccups.

According to head coach Matt Nagy, outside linebacker Robert Quinn and safety Sherrick McManis did not practice in Chicago’s first padded practice on Monday.

Quinn, who the Bears signed to a massive five-year, $70 million deal, did participate in Monday’s padded practice. But he didn’t practice during the team portion of drills. Nagy said it was a “personal issue” and that Quinn is still ramping back up to practice.

As for McManis, he was also on the practice field Monday, but he was limited with a shoulder injury. Nagy said that it was “nothing to be worried about.”
