Baylor gave Houston a merciless beatdown in the men’s Final Four

No. 1 Baylor held a stunning 25-point lead at the half.

No. 2 Houston had absolutely no answers for No. 1 Baylor in the first Final Four match on Saturday, as the Bears put on an absolute clinic against the Cougars to advance to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament final in a 78-59 win.

The biggest margin of the game came at the end of the first half, with Baylor leading 45-20 after the first 20 minutes of play. The 45 points scored by the Bears was the most points the Cougars gave up in a half all season long, as Houston capped off a miserable opening 20 minutes with a field goal percent of 26.9 and a three point percent of 35.7.

Baylor’s best moment of the game came on an absolutely savage three-pointer from Davion Mitchell as the buzzer sounded to end the first half.

Even though Houston put up a better fight in the second half of the game, the match was all but over, much to the delight of Twitter.

Baylor is set to face the winner of No. 1 Gonzaga and No. 11 UCLA in the tournament final on Monday, April 5.
