Orioles at Blue Jays picks and predictions
Prediction
Blue Jays 5, Orioles 4
Moneyline
The BLUE JAYS (-118) are a solid play Thursday as they go for the 4-game series split.
Toronto will be facing the top pitching prospect of the Orioles (+100), and the southpaw Povich was tuned up by Atlanta’s farm team last time out for the Tides. He makes the start in place of RHP Kyle Bradish, who has been pushed back to Friday at Tampa Bay.
Kikuchi has had tough luck with offensive support as he has a sub-4 ERA. The southpaw is worth a look against the prospect getting his first taste of the bigs.
Run line/Against the spread
The Blue Jays +1.5 (-184) will set you back nearly 2 times your potential return, and that’s quite a bit risky for not much profit.
AVOID and play Toronto straight up instead.
Over/Under
OVER 8.5 (-105) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
The Over has cashed at an 8-4-2 clip in the past 14 games for the Orioles, while the total has gone Over in 4 of the past 5 games for the Blue Jays.
After going Under in 3 straight outings for Kikuchi, the Over has cashed in his past 2 outings.
