Ballers & Busters for Raiders Week 10 win over Jets

Busters

LT Jermaine Eluemunor, LG Dylan Parham, C Andre James

I know. It seems cruel to have Eluemunor here considering he was filling in at left tackle for Kolton Miller. But I have never made special exceptions in these before and I can’t start now.

The first play of the game, Eluemunor’s man batted down at pass at the line. Then on a series in the second quarter, Eluemunor gave up a tackle for loss on first down and another run stuff on second down and the Raiders went three-and-out.

The next drive, with the Raiders down 9-3 in the second quarter, they had driven into field goal range. Then James gave up the sack. Two plays later, the Raiders were out of field goal range and punted it away.

Their first possession of the third quarter, James was beaten to give up a tackle for loss. Two plays later, he was flagged for holding. Then on third and 14, Parham gave up pressure on an incompletion and they punted it away.

The next drive, Parham gave up pressure up the middle while Eluemunor gave up the sack. Parham and James both gave up run stuffs in the fourth quarter.

CB Marcus Peters

Four plays in and we’re seeing the damage caused by his tackling allergies. He gave up a catch and made one of his feeble attempts to make the tackle leading to a 41-yard gain and an opening drive field goal. It was the first opening drive score for the Jets all season.

To start the third quarter, it looked like the Jets had converted on third-and-eight with Peters giving up a 12-yard catch. He was bailed out because the Jets were flagged for a chop block.

Things got a bit too interesting late in the game. After Jacobs fumbled the ball away to keep it a four-point game, Peters gave up a 17-yard catch on first down to put the Jets at their own 41-yard-line. They would move inside the Vegas 30-yard-line a few plays later with Peters giving up an eight-yard catch. That led to them converting on third and short and getting into the red zone. It took the Spillane interception heroics to keep the Jets from scoring again to either make it a one-point game or a three-point lead.

DE Tyree Wilson

Invisible again. The only time the Raiders got any production from the edge opposite Maxx Crosby was when Malcolm Koonce was in the game. When it was Wilson in there, they got literally nothing. Not a single statistic of any kind from Wilson.

The only time I noticed him was third-and-three late in the second quarter when he was out of his gap to allow Zach Wilson to scramble for 20 yards.

We knew Wilson would take a bit of development work, but it’s getting late now for him to be as ineffective as he so often is.
