Baker Mayfield had a fiery response to Browns fans calling for a Deshaun Watson trade

He’s watching what everyone’s saying.

Some athletes talk about how they avoid social media and haters and trolls and such.

Baker Mayfield is not one of those athletes (just ask Colin Cowherd. Or JuJu Smith-Schuster).

The Cleveland Browns quarterback might have seen some fans of the franchise calling for the team to trade for unhappy Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson, who has reportedly asked to be dealt.

On Thursday, he quote-tweeted a blog post on the subject along with a message: a (sarcastic, I think) “OK” emoji, along with, “Some of y’all ‘browns’ are funny.” I’m assuming he means Browns fans here.

As if to hammer the point home, he actually made the message his “pinned tweet” for all the world to see:

Let’s be honest here: Watson would obviously be a big upgrade at QB. But the Browns probably aren’t doing a deal after they won a playoff game with Mayfield under center.

There’s a bigger point here, however — there might be just a few QBs better than Watson. Let’s stop underrating him, OK?
