Badgers quarterback Tanner Mordecai has been racking up national recognition heading into his first season in Madison and he was added to another watchlist Thursday.
The Earl Campbell Award is given out each season to the best college football player with Texas connections. Mordecai is from Waco, Texas and on top of that, he spent the last two years playing for SMU.
The fans have lofty expectations for the experienced quarterback in Madison this year, especially due to the fact that he will be operating under Phil Longo and his “Air Raid” offense.
In 2022, Mordecai produced 3,524 passing yards and 33 touchdowns with SMU.
