Austin Stogner leaves Oklahoma’s game against Kansas with apparent injury

Oklahoma TE Austin Stogner has left the game after suffering an injury on his long reception in the second quarter.

Perhaps the single biggest focus of Oklahoma’s game against Kansas today was to survive the afternoon without being bit by the injury bug. That has not been the case today.

After Spencer Rattler already had some hip issues earlier in the game, Austin Stogner is now dealing with an injury of his own that has removed him from action.

The injury occurred on a long reception in the second quarter that ended with him taking a big hit that created a bit of an awkward fall.

Stogner tried to stay in the game for a bit, but it was clear he wasn’t right and was removed from the game and headed to the locker room. The expectation is that he will be done for the day with the game well in hand.

The Sooners currently lead the Jayhawks 41-3 in the early stages of the third quarter.
