Another Auburn player has declared for the NFL draft.
Tigers star [autotag]Tank Bigsby[/autotag], who has been at the forefront of Auburn’s rushing attack since he joined the team in 2020, announced on Monday that he will declare for the NFL draft. Bigsby is (thus far) the first offensive player on Auburn’s squad to declare, as the rest of the Tigers that have done so in recent weeks have all been from the defensive side of the ball.
Bigsby is a highly-touted draft prospect and expected to be a starting running back in the NFL according to the Draft Network’s scouting report — Bigsby is the seventh-best running back in their rankings and the second-highest SEC running back. He’s certainly amassed an impressive resume on the Plains, running for almost 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns across his entire tenure at Auburn.
It is possible that Bigsby could be picked in the first few days to become an immediate producer. In the meantime, the Tigers will have at least one more year from running back Jarquez Hunter, who was productive in his own right during the 2022 season in tandem with Bigsby.
