Auburn vs. Alabama State: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Friday’s game in Neville Arena

Auburn welcomes Alabama State to Neville Arena on Friday in hopes of stretching its win streak to four games.

The Auburn Tigers play the Alabama State Hornets at Neville Arena on Sunday, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.

Auburn basketball (8-2) has won three straight games and will look to extend the streak ahead of the Christmas holiday when it hosts in-state foe Alabama State (4-6) for a 7 p.m. CT tipoff at Neville Arena.

The Hornets enter the contest playing one of the toughest schedules in the country. Through ten games, Alabama State has played contests against Power Five programs Ole Miss, Iowa, LSU, and most recently USC. Alabama State lost all four of those games by a combined average of 19.75 points.

So when it comes to making the short drive from the Acadome to Neville Arena, the Hornets will not be intimidated. They also have added motivation considering that they are visiting an in-state SEC program.

Auburn head coach [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] understands the importance of playing nonconference games against in-state teams.

“I think it’s the right thing to do. These games, there’s a lot to lose and not a ton to gain. When you play against a team that plays a good style like this, that has good talent, well coached, and they play hard. They got down against USC and kept playing, outplayed USC in the second half. It’s the right thing to do if we’re going to play these guarantee games, might as well keep the guarantee at home.”

Below, you will find everything you need to know ahead of Friday’s game between Auburn and Alabama State including a broadcast guide, an injury report, and a projected starting five for each team.
