After handling LSU its first series loss of the season, the Auburn Tigers once again received votes in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released on Monday.
Auburn (27-19-1, 11-13 SEC) received nine votes, good enough for the No. 36 spot in the ranking. The Tigers have now won three straight SEC series and are 6-3 in the second half of conference play.
Their improved record isn’t a matter of a softer schedule as they have beaten No. 2 LSU and No. 7 South Carolina.
The SEC continued to dominate the top 25 as seven teams made the ranking with No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Florida, and No. 7 South Carolina all making the top 10.
Alabama, Auburn, and Texas A&M all received votes but not enough to crack the top 25.
