Auburn linebacker enters transfer portal

The sophomore linebacker had seen action in just three games in his two years on the Plains.

Auburn’s linebacker corps was already thin. Now, it just got a bit slimmer.

On Tuesday, it was being reported that Auburn linebacker Octavius “O.C.” Brothers has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Justin Ferguson of The Auburn Observer confirmed the news.

Brothers was 3-star signee in the 2019 class out of Rockledge HS in Southwest Brevard County, Fla. He chose the Tigers over fellow SEC members Ole Miss and Tennessee along with a number of other Power 5 schools.

The linebacker saw action in two games as a freshman, recording a tackle against both Kent State and Samford, respectively. As a sophomore this season, Brothers has only appeared in the LSU game, recording an assistant tackle.
