Auburn has 75% chance to beat Northwestern on Wednesday

Auburn plays Northwestern on Wednesday night for the Riviera Division championship of the Cancun Challenge and should have zero issues earning the win.

The No. 16 Auburn Tigers played a well-rounded game on Tuesday night, which led to an 85-64 win over Bradley in the opening round of the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

Auburn will now focus on its next opponent, Northwestern. The Wildcats defeated Liberty on Tuesday, 66-52 behind a strong second-half offensive performance which saw the Wildcats improve its’ second-half shooting by 17%.

Both teams enter the game with 5-0 records, but Auburn is the overwhelming favorite according to the ESPN Basketball Power Index projection, which gives the Tigers a 75.3% chance to win on Wednesday night.

Entering the game, Auburn is the fifth-highest-ranked SEC team in the ESPN BPI, but is No. 13 overall. As for Northwestern, they rank 11th out of 14 Big Ten squads, and are No. 73 overall.
