Auburn defensive lineman Enyce Sledge plans to enter the transfer portal

He is the first Auburn player to announce his transfer plans ahead of the portal opening on Dec. 4.

Auburn’s first transfer loss will be along the defensive line.

Reserve defensive tackle [autotag]Enyce Sledge[/autotag] announced his plans to enter the transfer portal Monday night on Twitter. The portal will open on Dec. 4 and that is when he can officially enter his name.

From Monroe, Louisiana, Sledge was a member of Auburn’s 2022 signing class. He redshirted during the 2022 season and appeared in two games this season and did not record a stat.

Sledge spent the past two seasons at the back of the depth chart and was unlikely to earn significant playing time has he returned to the Plains. The move will allow him to find a place where he can contribute and Auburn has another scholarship to use where needed.

He will have three seasons of eligibility at his next school.
