Auburn Basketball has 56% chance to beat USC on Sunday

The Basketball Power Index from ESPN believes that Auburn will begin its west coast trip with a victory.

It is gameday for the No. 18 Auburn Tigers, as they play their first game against a Pac-12 foe in USC on Sunday afternoon.

Auburn pulled off a come-from-behind win last Wednesday, defeating Georgia State 72-64. [autotag]Jaylin Williams[/autotag] was the star player of the game, scoring a season-high 20 points and pulling down eight rebounds. Auburn shot just 32% from the field in the first half but improved their percentage to 66% in the second half to earn the win.

BetMGM shows Auburn as the favorite in the game, giving them a 1.5-point advantage over the Trojans in what will be a quality defensive battle.

The Basketball Power Index from ESPN also favors Auburn in the contest. ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Auburn a slight edge with a 55.9% chance to win.

The Tigers enter Sunday ranked No. 24 in the latest ESPN Basketball Power Index ranking, which is the fourth-highest in the SEC. As for the Trojans, they rank No. 96 in the BPI and lead only Oregon State and Cal in the Pac-12 standings.
