The Auburn Tigers (2-3, 0-2 SEC) visit the 5th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (3-1, 1-1) Saturday. Kickoff from Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Auburn vs. Georgia odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Tigers put up a good fight on the Plains last week against 17th-ranked Oklahoma, but Auburn fell 27-21 as a 2-point favorite as the Over (43) cashed. Auburn has dropped 3 of the past 4 games, all at home, while going 1-3 against the spread (ATS) during the span. The Over and Under have alternated in all 5 games this season.

Georgia is coming off a tough 41-34 loss at Alabama Sept. 28 as a 2-point favorite as the Over (50) cashed for the 1st time in 4 outings. UGA fell into a 30-7 hole at halftime before making a furious comeback, actually taking a 34-33 late in the 4th quarter. However, Bama scored on a 75-yard pass play to retake the lead for good.

The Bulldogs allowed 173 rushing yards and 374 passing yards to Alabama, while going for 439 passing yards.

Georgia has failed to cover the past 3 games since pounding Clemson in the opener in Atlanta.

The Bulldogs have won 7 straight meetings since Nov. 11, 2017, a 40-17 loss by the Tigers at home. Georgia is 6-1 ATS in the past 7 meetings, too, while the Under is 5-2 in the previous 7 in the series.

Auburn at Georgia picks and predictions

Prediction

Georgia 45, Auburn 10

Moneyline

Georgia (-2500) is obviously way too expensive on the moneyline, either straight up or as part of a multi-leg parlay. In fact, you would need to risk $100 for every $4 of profit.

It shouldn’t need to be said, but that’s a terrible long-term betting strategy.

PASS.

Against the spread

GEORGIA -22.5 (-110) is a solid play between the hedges, as the Bulldogs should have a huge chip on their shoulders after the loss to Bama.

The Bulldogs had a horrendous 1st half of football last week, but Auburn +22.5 (-110) won’t move the ball like the Crimson Tide did. Not many teams do move so freely against Georgia’s D.

The Tigers certainly don’t have a quarterback near the same caliber as Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. Auburn QB Payton Thorne is expected to get the start again, but he has completed just 59.8% of his passes for 1,038 yards with 10 TDs and 6 INTs, including a costly pick-6 against Oklahoma last weekend.

Over/Under

OVER 51.5 (-110) is worth a look in this conference tilt in Athens.

The Over has cashed in 2 of the past 3 games for Auburn, and the Tigers have allowed 25.5 PPG in 2 SEC games.

For Georgia, it allowed 18 points in the 1st 3 games and no TDs. Expect the Dawgs to go back to their roots on defense, allowing very little against an inferior foe.
