The Atlanta Falcons have released defensive lineman Ikenna Enechukwu, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon. Enechukwu, 24, signed last offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Rice.

The Falcons waived the young defensive lineman with an injury designation in August and later placed him on the injured reserve list once he cleared waivers.

Atlanta did not bring back defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, replacing him with Jimmy Lake. The team is expected to run a base 3-4 under Lake this season.

Goldman started 73 games since being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft.
