Ta’Quon Graham’s dream of playing in the NFL came true in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft. The former Texas defensive tackle was taken with the No. 148 overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons.
During his time in Austin, Graham sported No. 49. At the professional level, he will have a new number below his name.
The Falcons released their rookie numbers on Wednesday and Graham will be wearing No. 95. According to the NFL’s number rules, defensive linemen are not allowed to wear numbers between 40-49. Graham was forced into the number change.

Atlanta’s new coaching staff sees Dean Pees take over as the defensive coordinator. The Falcons’ struggles over the past few years has been on the defensive side of the ball. Five out of their nine picks in the 2021 draft were defensive players.
Pees will love Graham’s ability in the run game, where Dan Quinn’s unit was middle of the pack last season. Graham finished with 21.5 tackles for a loss and 7.0 during his senior season.
In the pass rush, Graham only had six career sacks. 4.5 of them came during his final two seasons on campus.
