Although they moved to San Francisco two seasons ago, the Golden State Warriors still have some fans with their former next-door neighbors, the Oakland Athletics.
Following a tough loss to the New York Yankees on Thursday night, star third baseman Matt Chapman was caught wearing a familiar No. 11 jersey. The two-time Platinum Glove winner donned a “We Believe” Oakland edition of Klay Thompson’s jersey to the postgame press conference at the Oakland Coliseum.

When asked about the jersey, Chapman called the Warriors’ five-time All-Star shooting guard “awesome.”
(H/T NBC Sports Bay Area):
Thought it was going to bring some good mojo today, but I’m going to have to put this one away for a little bit. But I do love the jersey, and Klay Thompson is awesome.
For the 2021 season, Chapman is currently batting .225 with 20 home runs and 59 RBIs. On Thursday against the Yankees, Chapman went 2-2 with two RBIs, including a solo home run in the third inning.
