Armando Bacot moves to third all-time scorer in UNC history

Tar Heel star Armando Bacot becomes the third all-time scorer in UNC history in the win against Miami on Saturday.

Another game another milestone for Tar Heel star [autotag]Armando Bacot[/autotag] who became the third all-time scorer in UNC history in the win against Miami on Saturday.

Bacot reached this milestone in the second half of the ACC showdown, on a thunderous dunk to pass Sam Perkins (2,145). The UNC star now has 2,149 points scored, behind Phil Ford (2,290) and Tyler Hansbrough (2,872).

In the same game, Bacot became the eighth all-time for double-doubles (79) in NCAA history, tying Oscar Robertson and Michael Brooks.

Bacot has been dominant in the last three games. On Saturday’s game, Bacot led the charge on the glass, finishing with 15 rebounds. In all three games, Bacot finished with double-digit for rebounding, four coming off the offensive glass.

The Tar Heels are looking dangerous with Bacot playing at a high level, and if they want to cut down the nets in April, they will need the big man to keep up this level of play.
