Arkansas freshman Jordan Walsh on Wednesday announced he will declare for the 2023 NBA draft while maintaining his college eligibility.
Walsh, a former five-star recruit, averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals on 43.3% shooting from the field in 36 games. He was one of four players on the team to appear in every game and one of just two freshmen (Anthony Black).
The 6-foot-7 forward emerged as a strong defender given his size and athleticism. He boasts a 7-foot, 3-inch wingspan that allows him to play the passing lanes and contest shots. On the other side, he can work inside the paint and has shown promise as a shooter.

Walsh is considered a potential second-round pick this year given his defensive tools and evolving game on offense. He will likely have the opportunity to showcase himself in front of teams at the draft combine next month in Chicago, Illinois, which could help his stock.
He will have until May 31 to withdraw from the draft and return to school.
