That is the best way to describe the game between Arkansas and the University of Texas-Tyler that will take place as the Razorbacks’ preseason opener on October 20.
The Arkansas athletic department announced Thursday the game would take place about a week before the Hogs face Purdue in a charity exhibition game Oct. 28 from Bud Walton Arena. That game was already known, though the UT-Tyler one was not.
UTT plays in the Lone Star Conference of Division II, where they went 9-17 overall and 5-17 in league play last year.
Arkansas began preparation for the 2023-24 season as practices began earlier in the week. The Razorbacks have made three straight Sweet 16s under coach Eric Musselman who is heading into his fifth season in Fayetteville.
Arkansas begins its official season proper November 6 against Alcorn State and gets the countdown started, as it were, October 4 in the annual Red-White scrimmage.
