Arch Manning, the nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli, performed well in the first game of his junior season last Friday, leading Isidore Newman to a 28-0 victory over Vanderbilt Catholic.
The high school star completed 19-of-34 passes for 238 yards with three touchdowns through the air and a fourth score on the ground.
The start of Arch’s junior season was delayed by Hurricane Ida — Isidore Newman’s first two games were canceled so last weekend’s showdown with Vanderbilt Catholic served as the school’s season opener.
Arch has already visited Georgia this fall and he has upcoming trips to Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss on his schedule as well.
Arch is the son of Cooper Manning, the brother of Peyton and Eli who had his football career cut short by spinal stenosis just before college. Archie Manning — Arch’s grandfather — had a 13-year career in the NFL, and Peyton and Eli both won two Super Bowls.
