App State students are so excited for College GameDay that Boone has seemingly run out of posters

That’s a bit of a problem…

Boone, North Carolina, is the place to be right now.

Home of the Appalachian State Mountaineers, the town (which is, as the nickname would suggest, is nestled in the mountains) is set to be a madhouse on Saturday as App State will play host to ESPN’s College GameDay for the very first time for the contest against Troy.

The Mountaineers scored one of the biggest wins in program history on Saturday, upsetting then-No. 6 Texas A&M in College Station. They then added insult to injury by swiping GameDay away from the Aggies’ Week 3 contest against Miami.

Naturally, there’s a lot of excitement in Boone. So much, in fact, that the town has reportedly run out of posters in anticipation of Saturday’s events.

College GameDay signs are among college football’s best traditions, and we certainly hope the folks in Boone are able to rectify this issue, pronto.

The Mountaineers play host to the Trojans in a crucial Sun Belt matchup at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
