Heading into Week 13, coach Anthony Lynn was already on the hot seat. But following the team’s worst defeat in franchise history, it might’ve been the icing on the cake.
However, Lynn doesn’t believe that will be the case, at least for the time being.
“I expect to be the coach of this team tomorrow,” Lynn said, per The Athletic’s Daniel Popper.
Following the game, Lynn called Los Angeles’ 45-0 loss to the Patriots, “the worst football game” he has been involved in over the course of his career, both as a player and a coach.
“It’s not acceptable,” Lynn added.
Moments later, linebacker Kenneth Murray told reporters that Lynn told the players in the locker room that the loss was “on him.”
While many are hoping that Lynn gets canned on Monday morning, it becomes evident that his stint with the Chargers is close to coming to an end.
