Anthony Davis leads LeBron-less Lakers past Warriors for 7th straight

The Los Angeles Lakers scored their seventh straight victory on Thursday night over the Golden State Warriors.

Thursday night was a case of no LeBron James, no problem at all for the Los Angeles Lakers as Anthony Davis powered the Lake Show to their seventh straight victory in a 116-86 drubbing of the Golden State Warriors, who added another loss to their league-worst record last night. It didn’t help matters for the Warriors that Draymond Green was ejected after only 10 minutes of playing time.

Davis had 23 points and six rebounds while Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers in minutes played, scoring 18 points in 29 minutes of action. The Lakers won the game even though they didn’t shoot the ball particularly well from the outside, but they still were over 51.7% from the field overall despite their rough night from the perimeter. Rajon Rondo also played well as the starting point guard, a role that he has assumed in the game that James sits, finishing with 12 points and six assists.

In addition to those more well-known players, Markieff Morris also got his feet wet in a Lakers uniform. Morris had eight points and four rebounds in his second game as a Laker.

The Lakers have two games left on their current road trip, at Memphis, and at New Orleans.
