The Philadelphia Eagles is one NFL franchise that does not shy away from drafting, signing, or trading for former Alabama players. The 2024 draft may allow that trend to continue.
According to the latest 2024 NFL mock draft by Ryan Roberts of College Sports Wire, the Eagles are projected to select Crimson Tide defensive back Terrion Arnold at No. 22.
“It’s very unlikely James Bradberry will be back in Philadelphia next season, meaning the Eagles need to find a solution opposite of Darius Slay,” writes Robert. “There may not be a cornerback with a higher upside than Arnold, who took his game to another level in 2023.”
Arnold wasn’t on many first-round radars heading into the 2023 college football season. However, it didn’t take long for his name to rise to be near the top of the conversation regarding draft-eligible defensive backs.
The 2024 draft may be a few months away, and things will certainly change, but this projection might not be too far off from reality, as Philadelphia may look for a cornerback, and if Arnold is available, he will likely be the go-to pick.
