The Kansas City Chiefs are on the journey to another Super Bowl title, with their first roadblock being the wild card round against the Miami Dolphins. The Midwest area is expecting a significant winter storm before the game that could make conditions difficult for both teams.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Tuesday in his weekly press conference to address the possible concerns of bad weather this weekend playing a factor in the game.
“I don’t think you bank on all that. That’s where you get into trouble,” Reid explained. “Guys are pretty resilient. And so you get you get yourself ready. And if it works out that way for you or whatever. I don’t know how to quantify that. You know, so I just say get ready for the game. Let’s do that. I don’t really care what goes on out here. We’re not having a snowball fight.”
Reid’s snowball fight comment sparked laughter throughout the press room as he diminished the importance of the weather playing a factor. Saturday night is expected to be one of the coldest games in Arrowhead Stadium history, adding an extra element of potential difficulty to the contest.
