Andrew Wiggins receives roaring ovation from crowd in return to bench at Chase Center

Chase Center welcomed Andrew Wiggins back to the bench in San Francisco with a roaring ovation on Tuesday night.

Along with securing a much-needed win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors welcomed back a familiar face to the bench.

Although he wasn’t suited up to make his long-awaited return to the court, Andrew Wiggins was in the building for Tuesday night’s win against the Thunder. As Wiggins appeared on the Warriors’ bench against the Thunder, the home crowd at San Francisco’s Chase Center welcomed the All-Star forward back with a roaring ovation.

Wiggins has been out since Feb. 13 due to a serious personal matter.

Despite Wiggins’ return to the bench, there’s still no clear timeline regarding his return to Steve Kerr’s starting lineup on the court. Following Tuesday’s win over the Thunder, the Warriors only have two games remaining on the schedule before the start of playoffs.

The Warriors will get two days off before traveling to play the newly crowned Pacific Division champion Sacramento Kings on Friday night in the state capital.
