The computers think Michigan State will drop their sixth straight game this week.

Bill Connelly of ESPN is the mastermind behind SP+ — which uses play-by-play data to evaluate teams on five factors that Connelly identified as being highly correlated with winning: efficiency, explosiveness, field position, finishing drives, and turnovers. According to Connelly, SP+ likes Minnesota to beat Michigan State on Saturday by the score of 25-19. Michigan State has a 38 percent chance of pulling the upset, according to SP+.

Michigan State enters this game with losses in each of their last five games and a record of 2-5 overall. Minnesota is 4-3 overall and coming off an upset road victory over Iowa this past weekend.
