Amway Coaches Poll: LSU moves up one spot after first win

LSU defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores, 41-7 on Saturday to improve to 1-1 on the season.

The latest Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports is out and the defending national champion LSU Tigers are up one place from last week at No. 16.

The top six teams remain unchanged with Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame and Ohio State comprising the top group. However, a slight change has Georgia moving up one spot to No. 3, tied with Florida.

After two straight losses, Oklahoma falls out of the Amway Coaches Poll, along with Mississippi State, Memphis and Pittsburgh.

Mississippi State, which upset LSU last week, fell out of the poll after losing to Arkansas at home.
